Valentine's Day projects, CHA video and a new look for AfterHoursStamper

Good morning!  If you are reading this post in an email, please take a moment to visit AfterHoursStamper.com.  Why?  Well this weekend the blog was redesigned and I would love your feedback.  Take a look and please leave a comment on the redesign.

When redesigning the look of AfterHoursStamper I wanted to do something different, something that represents what the blog is about, basically a reference source for stampers/scrapers.  And I also wanted something pretty simple and neutral in color.  Again, I would really love your feedback, please leave a comment and let me know what you think.

I can't thank Veronica McCollum enough for her design and implementation of the new blog, she is simply the best person in the world to work with!  Veronica's blog design company can be found by clicking this link, she is talented, quick and full of great ideas.

Now, how about we get on with some links?  First up I have a video from CHA for you, and if you own a Slice you are going to be VERY excited about this new upgrade for your machine.  Oh, and speaking of the Slice, I have a card up on the "Why Slice" website and would appreciate it if you could take a moment or two and vote for my card (my card is the one with the snowflake and "believe" on the front).  Here is the link, the button to vote is underneath the card.  And here is the video for you:

And how about one more peek at the new products coming out of Winter CHA?  Check out this link to see all the new Spellbinders dies (you can preorder these right now).

Now, onto some Valentine's Day projects.  Oh, and before I forget, time permitting, I will have another tutorial for a project next week, this one is going to be a very simple but cute project for Valentine's Day (simple is good when time is limited).

Be My Valentine Project:  WOW!  This is a GREAT resource, Lisa has all sorts of videos up on how to make 30 cards for Valentine's Day, and her blog is filled with all sorts of great tips and techniques.  Here is the link to her channel on YouTube, make sure you check out how she cuts her 4 x 4 and 3 x 3 cards, as well as all of her other great videos.  Here is one of her videos:

Patty's Stamping Spot:  Some very cute ideas here, and I loved her blog! Make sure to scroll down to find all of the great projects she has for Valentine's Day.

Martha Stewart:  This link will take you to 36 card ideas for Valentine's Day!  Martha Stewart never fails to provide great ideas for any holiday.

More Valentine's Day Projects:  Lots of links here and some really cool ideas.  I especially like stamping a heart and then embroidering the heart.

Twelve Tags of Valentine's Day:  What a GREAT idea!  Linda took the Tim Holtz "12 Tags of Christmas" to a new level by creating tags for Valentine's Day.  You will love her take on the tags and they the tags are sure to give you some ideas for your own Valentine's Day projects.

Quick Valentine's Day cards:  I loved the ribbon idea, and these cards are quick and easy to make, take a look and save these for other holidays as well.

That is it for today, hope these links are helpful and again it would make my day if you leave a comment letting me know what you think if the new blog design.

Have a great week everyone!

  4. A clean look, but arty too; the uncluttered look makes it easy to move around and find links and references so suits your purpose well. Thanks for thinking of your readers in this redesign. I don't post much but always appreciate the work you put into your blog.
