Over a hundred ideas for home made Christmas gifts

Good morning and of course happy Monday.  We are getting a cold storm here in San Jose, tonight and early tomorrow the temperature is expected to drop into the 20's which is very unusual for us.  Right now a light rain is falling, when the rain clears later today we might even see some snow on the higher hills near San Jose!

This weekend we managed to get our outdoor decorations up, and then I worked on the inside, the tree is put together, halfway decorated and then I need to get all of the house decorations up during the week.  One of my favorite things about Christmas is lighting candles all over the house, and the one I absolutely LOVE is from Salt City called "Christmas Trimmings."  The candle is not cheap, but it lasts a long time and I usually get two or so every couple of years, absolutely the most amazing Christmas scented candle I have ever purchased.

Now, how about some great ideas for Christmas?  Here at our house we are trying to keep this a simple celebration, and with that I have been looking for ideas to make gifts for friends and co-workers and wanted to share with you some very easy, inexpensive things you can give this year.

Mixes in a bag:  I love making these!  Easy, something for everyone and not too expensive.  To package the mix you can decorate a brown bag with rubber stamps, tie with a ribbon and then use your stamps to decorate the instructions for the mix. 

Glittered Embellishments:  A neat way to make some sparkly embellishments for your papercrafter friends, make up an assortment of these, and don't limit yourself to flowers, think of other shapes that would be good to give including hearts, butterflies and more.  You could also cut out a shape (with a punch or die cutter) and apply the glue. 

Recipe Booklet:  Put together your best recipes, print out and then use your DP and stamps to decorate the booklet.  A very nice gift to give to your friends and co-workers.

Magnets in a Tin:  GREAT idea and very, very easy to put together, you can use DP, your stamps, add glitter, glue these together for a larger magnet and so much more.

Chocolate Covered Spoons:  I LOVE this idea!  Coffee drinkers would love this, instant mocha, and you could package these using your rubber stamps to decorate the gift bag. 


Homemade stamp positioner:  What a great gift to give a crafter on your list!  Easy directions, and using the guidelines I bet you could find other materials to use to make this great gift!

Pop Top Can Gift container:  I can't wait to make some of these this year, your biggest expense is the special can opener that you need (about $20, I bought mine at Bed, Bath and Beyond using their 20 percent off coupon).  Imagine what you can put into these containers, and how amazed people will be when they get these great gift containers.
