Ok, FINALLY, I sat down today and did the video on how to use your Bic and Sharpies to get Copic like results!(I have no clue how people can get more then one of these done a week, my hat is off to them!)
I had to trim the video in places because it was too long, still a bit too long, but wanted to make sure that you could see how easy it is to get Copic like results with your Bic and Sharpie markers. As I state on the Video, the drawbacks to the Bic and Sharpies are that they are more limited in colors and their "light/pastel" colors are much darker then the lighter Copic markers. You can buy a few of the copics to fill the gaps in your colors, especially the Copic lightest warm or cool grey which are great for so many things.
Here it is, hope it is helpful:

you did a great job and how very useful! I'm just now seeing the newer selections of Bics in stores around here and they are so much less than copics.
Thanks!!

Thank you Meg! I saved the images of the flowers you colored, am going to post it tonight, you did a GREAT job with coloring, and they do work don't they ; )
What ink did you use on the duck, I just can't get any of the ink I have used to set right, my colors always bleed.
This is a great video!!!

Hi Jacquie!
This is SUCH an informative video!!! I have LOTS of Sharpie markers at home . . . now I just need to get the Bic markers to try your FAUX COPIC MARKER TECHNIQUE!!!! THANK YOU so much for sharing!!!!!
Thank you so much for sharing this technique! And I have to say you are such an excellent teacher!! It's like you've been teaching crafting classes professionally for years!! If that's the case, kudos to you -- you're brilliant and excellent at it! And if it's not the case, even more giant kudos to you!!
Thank you so much for sharing this technique. I already have about 40 Copics but I have difficulty working with them. They seem to keep spreading outside of my colored image even after I have finished coloring it. Will embossing fix this problem?
